David Mortlock
President and Founder
David served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps including a six-month combat tour in Iraq. David left active duty in 2004 to pursue graduate studies at University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He recently graduated and joined Bain & Company as a Consultant.

Jesse Sanders
Director
Jesse has been working with homeless people in Washington, DC since he moved here in 2003. He currently works as a private equity investor at Allied Capital. He received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Elizabeth Boughrum
Associate Director
Elizabeth is an Analyst with The QED Group, LLC, in Washington, DC. Prior to joining The QED Group, Elizabeth worked for a nonprofit organization in New York City where she managed projects to obtain government funding for homeless men and women and at-risk children. Elizabeth is also involved with Women of Vision, a volunteer branch of World Vision.

Kirsten Wegner
Board Member
Kirsten is a lawyer at Patton Boggs in Washington, DC where she counsels clients on issues involving trademark and copyright enforcement, website compliance, e-commerce, publishing contracts, establishment of joint ventures in Thailand and China, international corporate law, and the UN Convention on the Sale of Goods (CIGS). She graduated from Georgetown Law School in 2003 and sits on the board of the Maya Foundation.

Sonja Starr
Board Member
Sonja Starr is a research fellow and lecturer at Harvard Law School, specializing in international human rights and international criminal law. She has previously clerked at the International Criminal Tribunals for Rwanda and the Former Yugoslavia and at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, and worked in Washington as a Supreme Court litigator at Goldstein & Howe, P.C. She is a graduate of Yale Law School. |

Samantha Mortlock
Board Member
Samantha is a law clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco, CA. Prior to attending law school at the George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, VA, she worked as a political campaign consultant for five years. She is also an animal welfare advocate. |
